MONENTI NEWS UPDATE: WEEKEND PRESS COVERAGE, CHARITY DONATIONS, AND MARATHON SUCCESS
Reading Time: 4 minutes
Welcome to your April update from Monenti Partners. Each month, we share some highlights of what’s been happening in and around the business.
This month, find out why we received a coveted name check in the Times, how you’ve helped us to raise £650 for a fantastic London charity, and how Jack fared in the Barcelona Marathon.
We’re named as a Top Rated Adviser Firm and featured in the Times
We were delighted to see Monenti Partners listed in the Times. As one of the best financial advice firms in the UK, we featured in VouchedFor’s 2026 Top Rated Guide, which was distributed in the print version of the Times on Saturday 21 March.
VouchedFor is a highly respected review platform for financial advisers and planners that allows clients to leave honest feedback. All reviews are verified, and negative comments are never edited, so those seeking financial advice know they can rely on the details.
As you can imagine, achieving Top Rated Firm status is an incredible honour, and reflects the expertise, dedication, and commitment of each member of the team.
Although we only recently started to actively seek VouchedFor reviews, we’ve already gained an overall rating of 4.9 out of 5. And, since results are based entirely on client reviews, we literally couldn’t have done it without your support.

Thank you for your continued support. Your feedback not only helped us to become a Top Rated Financial Adviser Firm, but it also helps us to ensure we provide the highest standard of financial advice to you and others.
Thank you for helping us to raise funds for The Felix Project
You may recall that your votes helped us choose The Felix Project as our 2026 charity partner.
The London-based charity ensures good, nutritious food reaches those who need it most, including vulnerable children and families, the homeless, and the elderly.
To give you an idea of the charity’s impact, in 2024 it saved roughly £63 million worth of surplus food, providing the equivalent of 38 million meals.
One way we’re supporting The Felix Project is through our referral scheme, where we donate £50 every time we receive a referral that leads to an initial meeting. There’s no cost for the meeting, and no obligation for the referred individual to become a client.
Thanks to your generosity in recommending us to your family, friends, and colleagues, we recently donated £650 to the charity, enabling them to deliver 1,755 meals to Londoners in need.
If you know someone who could benefit from financial advice, please don’t hesitate to mention us, and together we can help The Felix Project continue its invaluable work.
Jack Payne shares his post-race report after running the 2026 Barcelona Marathon
You may recall reading about Jack’s preparations for the Zurich Marató Barcelona last month.
Running to raise funds for the Rob Burrow Appeal, which helps those in Leeds and the north of England with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Jack far exceeded his initial £500 target. At the time of writing, he’s raised £1,760 (and counting).

Here’s Jack’s post-race report…
The party atmosphere quickly helped to ease any nerves
I was feeling a bit nervous before the race but once I got to the start line, the nerves disappeared and I enjoyed the party atmosphere among the other runners.
The atmosphere wasn’t something I’d experienced before. There were thousands of people lining the streets, cheering me and the other 32,000 runners on.
Training conditions were very different to the reality
Unsurprisingly, the weather in Barcelona was a lot warmer than the weather I was used to during my training schedule. The majority of the race was in temperatures of around 15-20C, which made the miles a lot harder than I’d anticipated.
The worst part of the race was during the second half of the marathon, when my legs were cramped up and felt like jelly.
A marathon tour past the best bits of Barcelona
Putting these difficulties aside, the best moments of the race were running past all of Barcelona’s famous landmarks. Closely followed by the post-race beer I enjoyed in the sun.
WhiIe I was disappointed not to manage to get the time I’d wanted, I’m proud to have raised a lot of money for a great cause.
When Jack returned to the office, we asked him what was next on his agenda
After he’d finished laughing about needing to give his legs a good rest, he admitted that he was considering taking part in a HYROX challenge.
If you’re not familiar (like a few of us), the indoor fitness competition combines 8 km of running and eight workout stations. With multiple global events taking place every month, Jack will be spoilt for choice if he wants to travel to compete.
