My name is Anthony Craddock, and I’ve been with Monenti for 35 years.

I’ve always believed that if you fail to plan, you plan to fail, and that you should always do the things that you’re great at doing and with anything else you should bring in specialists. So, I needed a specialist to help me manage my finances more effectively.

I started working with Howard when I was 30, I had just set up my first business and needed some basic advice and a sounding board. When Howard decided to move on to pastures green, he passed me over to Alastair.

The best piece of advice that Monenti has given me, and bearing in mind, I’ve been working with him for 35 years, was ironically, when I got investment from my company, “Do nothing. Sit on it for a few months. Sit on the asset. Don’t fret. It’s still going to be there in three months’ time. And take your time with the planning decisions.” That was the best advice.

Having spent most of my career short of money, as soon as I ended up having a bit of money, I needed to work out how best to ensure that it was managed most appropriately for my family’s interests. Monenti brought in some experts to help me with will writing, setting up trusts, share allocations, and alongside the accountants and lawyers, we ended up with a formula that is going to sit well for me and my family over the next 25 years, and that’s been invaluable.
