I’m David Carter, and this is my wife, Kelly. We’ve been working with Tom Rawlings for many years, and we followed Tom from his previous job to Monenti.

Originally, we got in touch with Tom through my husband’s business, and he has given us more clarity on where we stand financially with our mortgage, pensions, and various other financial concerns, and put us on the right path for our future.

David
As a small business owner, lots of my revenue went back into the business. Everything in the early years was hand to mouth, so, it was about managing our finances and making sure we met various obligations. Then, as I was fortunate enough that my business started to grow, I was able to reach out to Tom, and he was able to give us advice on pensions and strategic planning as well. He opened the door to brand new strategies that we’ve adopted. At one point, my husband became quite ill, and he gave us confidence and assurance in what I could do and the strategies that we could put in place in case the worst happened. He’s very good at helping me to understand things that otherwise I wouldn’t have clarity on, and planning paths for our children and future financial worries.

I feel that we’ve got lots of comprehensive strategies going into the future, and as we start to think more and more about what retirement might bring, I feel that we’ve covered many aspects of planning that I know lots of people in our age group haven’t. It’s a great feeling to know that we’ve ticked lots of the boxes and that our strategies are paying off.

Kelly
To describe Tom in a few words, I would say he’s knowledgeable, approachable, and inspires confidence for the future.

For me, the best things about working with Tom are that I know, absolutely, that he’s at the end of the phone if I need him, that his team will be available even if he isn’t, and that all of the advice that he’s given and the strategies that we’re following are professional and can provide future growth for our assets. He gives me a level of confidence that I wouldn’t have if I didn’t have a financial adviser like Tom.
